We are bringing you tips and tricks of LAYERING. As the name says, it is a combination of several different products layered over each other. It’s the right opportunity to try for all the points 1 to 4 above. And to pull off an awesome make up look.
For make-up, we don’t have to follow the same rule as for Spacelash serum – just a small layer and the magic is done. We can layer almost endlessly. It depends on what products we want to layer, but in a way, the more the better. (Almost).
What can you layer?
MAKEUP: Mixing different shades of makeup to get the perfect skin. This is a well-known practice, so we won’t go into detail about it. It’s all about mixing the exact shade of makeup as your skin. Two shades and the back of your hand are usually all you need for this painting feat. Always try the makeup shade on your neck, in the area below your ear, it’s the best place to check if it fits.
LASHES: We’ve already dedicated a whole article to the topic of mascara layering, called “Mascara Cocktailing” here. It’ll make your beautifully long lashes even more beautiful and take them to outer space, which is what Spacelash is all about.
EYESHADOWS AND HIGHLITERS: In this category, our favorite trial and error, which we always recommend to everyone, has already brought us some experiences.
The basic rule is to use the same product types and structures. Powder with powder, cream with cream and liquid with liquid = easy, right?
Sometimes the textures work well together, but start with the liquids and the powders at the end, like powder, will set the whole look nicely.
Why do we all love layering so much?
Because the moment we apply all those beautiful colours and highlights on our face, which becomes a painter’s canvas and we are the artists, we escape into a world of creation and creativity. It’s like when we played as children – you try, you discover and you create.
Layering as a new form of meditation – we are starting a new hashtag.
But why? The answer is simple: every time the work is UNIQUE!
