Myths about eyelash serums that you might just as soon forget…
The use of eyelash serum has gained its admirers in recent years. It promises longer, thicker, stronger, and healthier eyelashes. As with many other beauty products, there are all sorts of myths about the use of eyelash serum. Some people can’t get enough of the serum, while others claim it’s just marketing hype with no results.
So how is it really?
If you’re considering buying an eyelash serum and you’re not sure which claims are true
or not, this article will help you decide. We’ve focused on the most common online myths, which we’ll disprove or confirm based on available studies and our customers’ experiences.
Myth No. 1: Eyelash serums are dangerous for the eyes
All available serums are tested and strictly controlled. As long as you follow
the recommended application rates and proper use, you have no fear of harming your eyes or eye area in any way. For Spacelash, the recommended application is a light layer
of serum once a day to the roots of the lashes. If the serum causes an allergic reaction, which can always happen in rare cases, consult your dermatologist about the problem. Thanks to its vegan formula, Spacelash serum does not cause allergic reactions (except
in very rare cases). It contains no growth hormones or unhealthy preservatives or parabens and is suitable for sensitive eyes.If it happens that your eyes burn, itch or redden after applying the serum, it’s safe to say that you’ve applied too much serum, there’s no other mystery. Try a really light layer the next day. The rule of thumb with Spacelash is less
is more.
So if you choose the right serum with the right formula, there’s no need to worry.
Myth No. 2: Results come immediately
Claims of an instant wow effect after using the serum are unfortunately false. If you expect instant results, we must disappoint you, using the serum requires patience and most importantly regularity. Eyelashes grow in a natural cycle as well as hair, in this phase
the eyelashes fall out and are renewed. The eyelash growth cycle has three phases, the first phase lasts 4-6 weeks, this is the anagen or growth phase, during this phase the eyelashes are actively growing. This is followed by the catagen or transitional phase, during which
the growth process stops and the algae follicles shrink, this phase lasts 2-3 weeks. The last and longest phase is the telogen phase, the resting and shedding phase, where it takes up to 100 days for the eyelash to fall out and new growth to begin.
This means that visible results of eyelash growth take time. The first visible changes appear in the anagen phase, usually after 4-6 weeks of consistent use, with the maximum effect being seen after 8-12 weeks, even for those with slower eyelash growth cycles.
Myth No. 3: If I stop using the serum, my eyelashes fall out
As described in the previous paragraph, the serum acts on the eyelashes in the anagen phase of their growth. Once you stop using the serum, the natural growth will return to its rhythm. This means that newly growing eyelashes, will not be lengthened and nourished
in the first phase. Eyelash loss is natural. If you want to encourage their healthy growth, besides using Spacelash Serum regularly, maintain a healthy lifestyle, supplement with vitamins and gently exfoliate your eyes.
Myth No. 4: Homemade serum works just as well
The most commonly used homemade oils to promote eyelash growth are castor, coconut, and almond. Each is fine, but they don’t contain the comprehensive nutrition for lashes like Spacelash serum, which includes peptides, and protein fragments made up of chains
of amino acids that take care of the strength and elasticity of our skin, hair and lashes.
For example, keratin and collagen are also composed of peptides.
Other ingredients of Spacelash serum are red clover extract and mung bean extract, which is a very effective antioxidant, containing proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins B1, B2
as well as folic acid.
This entire complex formula is tailor-made for our algae to give them everything they need for beautiful and healthy growth. Unfortunately, homemade oils can put too much weight
on the lashes and, if applied incorrectly, can help damage or fall out. In contrast, we only apply the serum in a very fine, thin layer and do not damage the lashes.
If you want to see for yourself the effectiveness of using the serum, the proof is in our customers who we have photographed before using the serum and then photographed again after two months of regular use. The results speak for themselves, the serum has promoted growth in all of them without exception. For some the serum will lengthen the lashes,
for some, it helps to thicken them and for most, it does both. See for yourself on our IG profile in the BEFORE / AFTER highlights.
